Containers? Are they for my operation?
Containers sound more mysterious than they really are. A 40’ container has about the same quantity of product on it that a conventional truckload does. There are a few main differences:

  • The product is floor loaded (i.e. not palletized) in order to maximize the cube space so offloading a container is a bit of a different process;
  • This product is very competitively priced and JanSan does not have any Claimback process as part of its business model. Accordingly, the cost of a container of product is meaningfully less than you are used to for a truckload of similar product from a traditional supplier.
  • Lead times are longer with containers, approximately 90 days. Accordingly, your Purchasing staff need to think further out than with a traditional supplier.
  • We also offer product in 20’ containers! The quantity would, accordingly, be equivalent to about a half of a truckload. With 20’ containers, the cost of shipping is distributed across a smaller number of cases so the price per case a bit higher but there is still great value offering you enhanced profitability and the chance to show your customers great savings.
  • In order to pass the savings along to you, our payment terms are Due at Time of Receipt, in keeping with our obligation to our suppliers.


Okay, I get it, but what if I want your product but do not want to get involved with containers?
JanSan has a solution for that as well. Through a network of our container customers, we are able to get our product from coast to coast at quantities that are more comfortable for you and still show you great products at great prices. We are in the process of developing a map to identify where product is located at our customer’s facilities throughout the country to assist all of our customers in getting the product they need, when they need it in the quantities they require.


What if I receive the product and it is not what I expected?
JanSan is happy to provide you with reasonable quantities of sample product for you to get comfortable with in advance of placing your order. We have customers who have purchased numerous containers from us and the product has been in keeping with expectation (i.e. same as the samples provided) every time. Should it ever happen that this is not the case, we will work with you to confirm any difference and assure your satisfaction.


Can I change or cancel my order?
Once your order has been confirmed, it cannot be changed or canceled.
